Cevapi (Homemade Sausages)

Equipment

  • Food grinder
  • Bowl
  • Grill or skillet
  • Cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Ground beef (minced)
  • 1 lb Ground lamb (minced)
  • cup Bacon (minced)
  • cup Onion (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh flat leaf parsley leaves (minced)
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 teaspoons Paprika
  • as needed Sunflower oil
  • 1 Purple onion (freshly cut/sliced)
  • 4 Pita bread (warm)

Instructions
 

  • Using a food grinder (small blade), mince the meats together.
  • Using a knife, Mince the onions and parsley.
  • In a large bowl, add all the ingredients, mix well.
  • Oil your hands with Sunflower oil, then form a 3-inch sausage shape, about the size of your thumb.
  • Grill on a oiled grill for 10-minutes, browning all sides
  • Serve on Pita bread with a sliced onions. Enjoy!
